The U.S. soul music movement of the 1950s and 60s (and beyond!) produced some of the greatest popular songs of all time. The songs selected for 'I Feel Good' can be performed effectively with just piano accompaniment but any performance would be enhanced by the addition of drum kit to underline the essential rhythmic characteristics of the style. With this in mind each song here is prefaced by a few brief comments as to what elements any such drum part should contain.
