Description:
Written in E minor, this song paints a musical landscape of native drums and flutes, and a gently flowing river. The pianist is given interesting rhythms, both in the left hand 'drum' pattern, as well as in the right hand's wandering pentatonic melody. The overlapping pedal technique is what gives the song a 'fluid' feel, and there is also a good variety of dynamics and hand movement to add interest to the musical story.
