COMPENSAZIONE geht auf eine serielle Studie für Klavier zurück, die ich im Jahre 1966 schrieb. Nach deren Uraufführung im Februar 1970 ging die Handschrift des Werkes verloren. Nach dem erhaltenen Konzertmitschnitt fertigte Benjamin Fenker im Jahre 2009 eine interlineare Transkription des Notentextes an. Ich bearbeitete diese Fassung durch Angaben zu Tempo, Phrasierung, Dynamik und Agogik, so dass das Werk in Gestalt einer 'Erinnerung' an meine mehr als vierzig Jahre alten musikalischen Gedanken neu entstanden ist. The manuscript of the work was lost after the premiere in February 1970. Benjamin Fenker made an interlinear transcription of the score text in 2009 based on the preserved concert recording. I adapted this version by providing indications of tempo, dynamics, phrasing and agogic so that the work has been newly created in the form of a 'memory' of my musical thoughts of over forty years ago.
