The lyrical melody will be appealing to older students. The accompaniment provides the opportunity to develop a facile left hand by using broken chord patterns that span almost two octaves. Written in A-B-A form, the B section features a thicker texture in the right hand by using root position and first inversion triads, sometimes in ascending patterns.
