Cahersiveen, die kleine Stadt an der Südküste der Dinglebay gelegen, ist die Heimat des Kerry Orchestra, das von Adolf F. Packeiser 1990 gegründet wurde. Die Besetzung besteht neben zahlreichen Bürgern Cahersiveens auch aus Freunden der Stadt, die dort regelmäßig ihren Urlaub verbringen. Ursprünglich als Jugendorchester gedacht, hat es sich bald zu einem
renommierten Liebhaberorchester entwickelt, das mehrmals und mit großem Erfolg auf Gastspielreise in Deutschland und Frankreich war. Die Stücke dieser Sammlung entstammen dem Repertoire des Kerry Orchestra in der Harmonisierung von A.F. Packeiser und werden regelmäßig in den Pubs von Cahersiveen gespielt. Selbstverständlich sind die Tunes aber auch in
ganz Irland bekannt.
