Description:
Nico Dostal (1895-1981) was an Austrian operetta and film music composer. He was the nephew of composer Hermann Dostal. Whilst working as a Kapellmeister and composer, Dostal wrote the music for the film Kaiserwalzer and enjoyed great success with his first operetta Clivia which is even nowadays performed regularly.
From this operetta became the aria Ich bin verliebt very popular on its own as well. Dutch arranger Jos van de Braak transcribed this aria for soprano and Symphonic Band.
