Description:
These two pieces for classical guitar by American-born and Puerto Rican-raised classical guitarist and composer Ernesto Cordero were inspired by beautiful structures in Perugia; Italy and Guerrero; Mexico. Cordero was a student of Regino Sainz de la Maza in Spain in the 1960s and Alíro Díaz and Claudio de Angelis in Italy in 1972; and served as the director of the International Guitar Festival of Puerto Rico from 1980 until 1997. Written to honor the Taxco International Guitar Festival in Mexico; sounds evoking church bells; Gregorian chants; automobile horns and more can be heard throughout these descriptive works. For advanced players.
