Description:
Under the Boardwalk is one of the beach party hits from the 60's.
The song was first recorded by The Drifters in 1964, and has since then been covered by many artists; The Rolling Stones (the same year as the original version), the Tom Tom Club (1982), Bruce Willis (1987), Bette Midler (1988) and Lynn Anderson (1988).
Like the original, this arrangement opens with a two-bar repeating pattern featuring Bass, Guiro and Triangle (Guiro is ment to accent the second beat on each bar and Triangle comes on the fourth beat every second bar).
Guiro is optional because it will require 2 players for the Drum Part. Eventually, Guiro can be played by the 1st Part player, from the beginning until two bars before letter B (together with Triangle, played by the Drum player). If however Guiro is played by a separate player it can be played throughout until the end.
Drum Set enters first time on the upbeat to letter B, and has important role to achieve the right groove (with even 8's!).
