The song was a huge world-wide hit, sung in countless arrangements and translations by artists all over the world, including in French by Tino Rossi ('C'est à Capri' 1934), in English by Frankie Laine (1952), Frank Sinatra (1957), Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney (1958), in Norwegian ('Det var på Capri') by Ivar Ruste 1973 and De syngende husmødre 1982.
In this arrangement, in Flex 5 SHOWBLOW, the well-known melody is introduced over a rhythm of steady cha-cha-chá, where all the instruments present their musical tasks. The midsection creates a nice rhythmic contrast, while we jump into a driving swing (with walking bass), without change of tempo.
This is a great opportunity to add a Latin arrangement to your repertoire, and you will also find that this 'old' melody is quite fun to play also for the young players in the band.
