Description:
Ewazen takes great pleasure in writing for brass; and being asked for a concerto for three trombones was pure delight. For Maestra JoAnn Faletta and the trombone section of the Buffalo Philharmonic; Ewazen has crafted a three-movement standout; in what is; admittedly; underserved repertoire. Music writer Herman Trotter of The Buffalo News notes; '...Its outstanding feature seems to be the glorious sonority three trombones can produce;' and 'The composer describes the Finale as 'rip-roaring.' He's right.' The Triple is now available in piano reduction. For advanced performers. Dur.: 24'
