Composed for winds, harp, piano and percussion, Efraín Amaya's Jokilis y Gorilas was commissioned by Maestro Robert Boudreau for the repertoire of his ensemble, the American Wind Symphony Orchestra. Inspired by the unique carnival traditions of Colonia Tovar, a mountain town located between the cities of Caracas and Maracay, Venezuela, Amaya's single-movement work evokes the upbeat festivity of the carnival celebration. This work is part of the American Wind Symphony Orchestra Editions. The score and parts set is also available as item number EP68735-CMPSET.
