Peter Maxwell Davies

Birthday Music For John

The 'John' is John Carewe, a conductor associated with Davies's music since the 1950s. This fiftieth birthday present is quite a substantial little piece in three movements, the first an Allegro in which the instruments take it in turns to lead, the second an Adagio dominated by the flute and the last another quick movement of lithe spirit.
A lively piece for flute, viola and cello.
Duration c. 9mins. Miniature Score. This is a special item which is made to order. Please e-mail our Mail Order Department for further information.
