Description:
All Fall Down by British composer Simon Holt was commissioned by the Nash Ensemble in 1994 and revised in 2008. This is the study score and is arranged for Chamber Ensemble, lasting around 9 minutes. The title takes its name from the traditional plague rhyme Ring A Ring O'Roses, which struck Holt as he was writing the piece as entirely appropriate, although not altogether explicable. It was first performed on the 26th of February 1994 at the Purcell Room in London, and is scored for E Flat Clarinet, Horn in F, Piano, Violin, Viola and Cello.
