Adler's new Fanfare was composed in the Summer of 2008 for the Cincinnati University Youth Wind Ensemble; and premiered in March 2010 by that ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ann Porter. The majestic opening gives way to an extended interplay; which the composer has marked as happy and bouncy. impani is used sparingly; adding punctuation throughout; joining the ensemble for a rousing finale.
