This work is part of a series for different chamber and symphonic ensembles. The 'Retrato V' for string quartet is divided in two sections. In the first one the dissonant sections interact with the consonant ones creating a linear, musical discourse. The piece concludes with a fast and light movement where clear and festive sonorities dominate.
