Das temperamentvolle Chorstück Pied Beauty (in etwa 'Gescheckte Schönheit') entstand 2011/2012 im Auftrag von The Chamber Choir of Asia unter der Leitung von John Pamintuan. Michael Ostrzyga vertont in energischen Rhythmen das gleichnamige Gedicht aus dem Jahre 1878 von Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844-1889). Pied Beauty wird unter anderem durch tonale Querständigkeit musikalisch illustriert, häufige rasche Impulsornamente greifen die Lebhaftigkeit der Dichtung auf.
