This luminescent setting of 'O lux beata Trinitas' (ascribed to St Ambrose) uses a variety of textures and vocal techniques to reflect the joy expressed in the text-from simple homophony to improvisatory techniques and free metre. The piece culminates with a short declamatory tenor solo, echoed by a solo soprano, before a peaceful extended 'Amen'.
