Missa Simplex II

With "Missa Simplex II", renowned Latvian composer Rihards Dubra presents an extraordinary masterpiece of contemporary sacred choral music. Internationally acclaimed for his deeply spiritual musical language, Dubra sets the traditional Latin Mass Ordinary for four-part unaccompanied mixed choir (SATB). The piece captivates with its fascinating synthesis of serene clarity, meditative beauty, and touching harmonic depth—hallmarks of the distinctive Baltic choral tradition. Despite the title "Simplex", this mass unfolds a solemn, resonant grandeur that deeply moves both performers and audiences alike. Published by the prestigious Musica Baltica edition, this choral score is an exquisite addition to the repertoire of ambitious church and concert choirs, ideal for both liturgical services and sacred concerts.
