It includes a study of intervals based on fundamental harmonic principles; learning the elements necessary for the active musical reading of a voice and piano score (inharmonic notes, cadences, modulations...); simple notions for tackling the reading and sight-reading of recitatives; a study of rhythm based on simultaneous text/rhythm reading (rhythmic prosody exercises).
