With the "Anti-Formalist Rayok" (Antiformalistischer Rajok), Dmitri Shostakovich created a musical masterpiece brimming with biting satire, profound wit, and historical significance. This extraordinary work brilliantly exposes the absurdities of Soviet cultural politics through sharp irony, captivating performers and audiences alike.

Scored for four low solo voices (basses), mixed choir (SATB), and piano accompaniment – effectively complemented by cymbals ad libitum and the spoken reading text "Vom Verlag" (From the Publisher) – the composition unfolds a thrilling theatrical and musical dynamic. This high-quality study score from the renowned Sikorski Musikverlag provides conductors, musicologists, singers, and classical music enthusiasts with exceptional, in-depth insight into this fascinating score.
