Love songs fill this and the next volume of the Songbook. Although all of Agnieszka Osiecka's lyrics are love poetry to a greater or lesser extent, it is the songs written together with Seweryn Krajewski, which create an especially Romantic world. All her life, the author searched for a great passion, longed for it but when it seemed nearby, she would end up disillusioned. The title 'Little Verses of Love' obviously draws on the phonograhic collection 'Little Verses for Guitar'. The composer performs many of the songs himself, but this fact does not mean that they may be sung by men only. Indeed, they have a womans soul and only a slight formal correction is needed for them to enter the repertory of singing women.
