Bridge over Troubled Water was written by Paul Simon for the duo Simon & Garfunkel in 1969 and released as single in January 1970.
The song became the last big hit by S&G, as they broke up short time after the release of the album record also entitles Bridge over Troubled Water.
Both the single and album won several Grammys in 1971. In later times, the song is regarded as one the greatest songs of the 1970, both in the matter of sales and influence.
This arrangement was written for Askøy Brass Band for their participation in Siddis Brass - a Norwegian Brass in Concert competition
