With a chord progression that is a tip-of-the-hat to Coltrane, Brookmeyer, and Thad Jones, solo trombone (or treble instrument) is featured throughout. After the solo section, the ensemble is highlighted in a 'Vanguard-Style' shout chorus followed by a gospel-tinged ending. 5 saxes, 8 brass, plus solo trombone and treble clef parts.
