Description:
A feature for guitar (and/or piano and vibes), this chart is a tuneful, quasi-Latin composition inspired by the Pat Metheny Group. A contrasting middle section moves to a half-time vamp that features a written melody played high on the neck of the electric bass. The vamp builds dramatically to a return to the original groove. Lead trpt extends to a written D above staff; no woodwind doubles. Commissioned in 2007 by Matt Farmer and the Mundelein (IL) High School Jazz Ensemble.
