Description:
Arrangement by Michael Abene. Bright Samba. Joyful, challenging, fun chart. This is the second of two great arrangements done by Mike Abene for the Netherlands Metropole Orchestra's recording featuring Tim Armacost's compositions. It is a bright, happy song, and is orchestrated as a feature for tenor 1. There is a separate tenor 1 part, and a solo tenor part, so that the chart can be played by the tenor 1 player as soloist, or with a separate tenor soloist. Can be played by high school ensembles with reasonably skilled reed doublers, and is appropriate for college jazz groups. Trumpet range to concert high D. Soloists: Feature for Tenor 1, or separate Tenor soloist. Doubles:Alto 1 - flute.Alto 2 - soprano. Tenor 2 - flute. 5 saxes, or 5 saxes + tenor soloist/4/4/G./P/B/D. Medium Difficult.
