An etude based on 'inversions': 'Ribaltimento' features chords that cartwheel over each other, the top note moving to the bottom. Noe this pattern as well as the change in tone and dynamics as the music moves between major and minor modes. The repetitive nature of the theme allows for easy memorization. Eighth notes should be cleanly damped. 'Ribaltimento' (Abundant Joy) should be rung freely and boldly, and is ideal as an upbeat opening or closing selection for worship or concert.
