Description:
Two movements from Saint-Saen's ever-popular work, The Carnival of the Animals. The Aviary movement features the popular flute excerpt (highlighted in the first flute part), accompanied by the other flutes and the piano. The Finale was famously included in Disney's Fantasia 2000, and featured a delightful animation of flamingos playing with yo-yos. Definitely a show-stopper! In a reversal of sorts, most of the original piano parts are covered by the flute quartet and the orchestral accompaniment is reduced for the piano. Scored for Flute Quartet accompanied by Piano. Instrumentation: Flute 1 (doubles on Piccolo), Flute 2, Flute 3, Alto Flute (or Flute 4), Piano.
