Description:
Arguably the most well-known wind band work of Percy Grainger, all six movements of Lincolnshire Posy have been arranged here for clarinet ensemble: Lisbon, Horkstow Grange, Rufford Park Poachers, The Brisk Young Sailor, Lord Melbourne, and The Lost Lady Found. From 1905-06, Grainger traveled around Lincolnshire, England, collecting and documenting local folk songs. Grainger referred to this piece as his 'bunch of musical wildflowers' dedicated to 'the old folksingers who sang so sweetly to me.'
