Composed for the Paris Conservatoire contest by Pierre Revel (1901-1984), Fantaisie is a melodious piece for Bb Clarinet and Piano. Rated as difficult (8°), this piece is perfect fordemonstrating your skills and technique.
Dedicated to Ulysse Delécluse, Fantaisie is divided in three main sections:
- Prélude - Modderato (senza rigore)
-Andante, featuring a Cadenza by the Clarinet solo
- Final which include a 'Meno mosso' part and a '1 tempo', before closing on a really harmonious note.
The mastering ofbreathingtechniques and a great flexibility are required for this piece which demonstrates the whole range of the instrument.
