It includes scales, octaves, full chords, written-out tremolos in the left hand, and dotted rhythms. A flowing middle section provides contrast. 'A Morning in Congaree,' in D major, is flowing and expressive, displaying the beauty found in the national park. Light syncopation creates a lilting feel, and a brief chordal section shows strength. 'Myrtle Beach Boogie' is full of excitement and swing rhythms. A boogie bass and bluesy melody include a variety of articulations and syncopation to produce an entertaining piece.
