'Pichintunes para Piano' is a series of short musical pieces. Its main goal is to initiate young people in dodecaphonic serial music. The title of this work comes from the mapuche word 'pichi', which means 'little'. This word derives to 'pichicultrun', which comes from the word 'cultrun' (drum). 'Pichi' has been incorporated to Chilean Spanish, other words like 'pichiruque' (trivial). However, another title for my work could be 'bagatela'.
