Description:
In 1892 Antonín Dvorák (1841-1904) embarked on a "farewell" tour of Bohemian and Moravian cities prior to departing for the United States, and he chose his friends, violinist Ferdinand Lachner and cellist Hanuš Wihan, as travel companions. For the tour Dvorák arranged some of his earlier works for Wihan and he also wrote a completely new Rondo in G minor for solo cello with piano accompaniment. Two years later he arranged the work's piano accompaniment for small orchestra. Instrumentation: 0.2.0.2: 0.0.0.0: Timp.Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set): Solo Cello in set.
