This Rondeau, taken from Purcell's incidental musicwritten for the play 'Abdelazer' or 'The Moor's Revenge', was used by Benjamin Britten as the main theme in his 'Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra'. He recognised a good tune when he saw one!
