Strings (Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Bass)
This transcription was prepared by Elgar to be recorded by the B.B.C. Symphony Orchestra, as the first item in their new recording contract with His Master's Voice. It was recorded on 30th May 1932, conducted by Adrian Boult, with Elgar in attendance. The transcription is in the key of C, Chopin's original being in Bb. The trumpet parts, shown in the score in C, are given in both C and Bb in the parts. An A3 sized full score is also available separately. This is the first edition published for sale.
