Emily Howard's Antisphere, for orchestra, sonically guides the listener on a 17-minute apocalyptic journey around the mathematical shape after which the piece is named. Described by The Times as "sensual - yet diffuse", the piece makes extensive use of percussion (5 players) and was commissioned by the Barbican Centre for the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle.
