Description:
Escape is an exciting rhythmic journey in B minor. A recurring motif is introduced in the cello and bass parts and is eventually passed around to every section. This allows the director to teach the line to all sections simultaneously. Contrasting the simple opening statements are an imitative pizzcato middle section, and also the original motive getting overlaid upon itself in imitation, further heightening the intensity of this musical journey.
