Description:
This march was written in 1898 but not published before 1914. Since then, it has been one of the most famous Norwegian marches. It was dedicated to Colonel Hans Peter L'orange, headmaster of the Christiania Battalion (today named Oslo). Svendsen include signals from the Norwegian Army in the march. In 1899, Svendsen was appointed 1st Lieutenant and he died in Christiania in 1906.
