In this arrangement of the well-known cello concerto, the instrument can be experienced in all its diversity. Not only the solo part as a lyrical and at the same time virtuoso voice, but also the three worthy accompanists, uniting all the orchestral colours, will need both their sensitivity and their strength to make this masterpiece of the travelling Bohemian composer heard in the chamber music version. Prof. Catalin Ilea (UdK Berlin) has thus created an arrangement that first concentrates the lines and harmonies of the music on its essence, in order to discover a new wealth of sounds, relationships and movements with the help of the homogeneous quartet.
