Gavotte In D was first written by the French composer Francois Joseph Gossec (1734-1829) for Flute and Strings. It was arranged for solo Violin and Piano by Emil Kross (1852-1917) in 1908. Ithas since become one of the composer's most popular chamber works, with countless arrangements for various instruments.
