Ludwig van Beethoven composed several military marches: 'Polonaise' (WoO21), 'Ecossaise' (WoO 22), 'Yorckscher March' (WoO 18), 'Military March' (WoO 19) 'Military March in D Major' (WoO 24) and the 'Zapfenstreich Marsch' (WoO 20). The Zapfenstreich Marsch was written in 1810 and is still very popular and played often at many Tattoos (Zapenstreich). Spanish arranger Serge Rodríguez Pena now edited these fine march for a modern Symphonic Band.
