Description:
The 'Wind of Rock' ('Il Vento del Rock') is a piece inspired by Rock and Blues. After an introduction of a solemn character the first part starts in the form of a ballad, subtitled: the 'Manera' Blues, characterized by trumpet, alto sax and clarinet soli. The second part is subtitled 'Lomazzo' rock, here the rhythm of the battery is compelling, and all sections of the band are protagonists of a crescendo that leads to the final part that takes up the initial Blues theme. The subtitles cite, with a play on words, the City of Lomazzo and its village Manera.
