This edition was introduced as part of the New Sousa Band Editions series, designed to make the musical sound and legacy of Sousa more easily available for modern bands. The original march was commissioned by the civic committee of York, PA to celebrate 'White Rose Day,' 1917 to create one of the 'March King's' jolliest and most rollicking marches.
