The Norwegian composer Trygve Hoff (1938-1987) wrote 'Nordnorsk Julesalme' (North Norwegian Christmas Psalm) in the mid 80's. It has become a classic and is about to recognized a national hymn at Christmas time. The song is about 'the eternal words' based on 'dark land' or the Christmas gospel in the North Norwegian folk religiosity.
