Description:
Russian, orchestral music at it's best arranged for Concert Band. The arrangement challenge the whole band, espescially the brass section.
The ballet 'The Bolt' was composed in 1930 -1931.
The title of the ballet means a bolt (a machine part commonly used in combination with a nut), and in this ballet there is a bolt in a place where it doesn`t belong. The work satirised bureaucratic snobs in the Soviet industrialisation drive. If something didn`t function within the proletarian machine, there was naturally a 'parasite' to blame. Following a lot of incidents, the ballet ends up with a concert and dance.
