This vigorous fanfare opens with a sixteenth-note motif in the Lydian mode that serves as a unifying feature througout the work. A contrasting Mixolydian middlen section gives way to the dramatic flourish of color that concludes the work. Trombone glissandi, woodwind trills and intricate snare work are just some of the exciting features of Celebration Fanfare.
