Description:
This volume deals with three topics. First, Llobet´s deep and inspiring relationship with the popular music of Argentina, a country he toured 5 times. It includes his special arrangements, a sort of tribute, to the music of that country in the form of transcriptions of 3 Tristes by Pedro Quijano. We are pleased to be able to present the first publication of Llobet´s own beautiful interpetation of the ‘Triste' a typical genre in Argentinian music.
Secondly we introduce a selection of Llobet´s pupils, who included Prat, Segovia, Regino and Eduardo Sáinz de la Maza, María Luisa Anido, Rey de la Torre and Severino López and many others.
Thirdly, for the first time Llobet´s own studies have been collected, and reclaimed, and appear complete. There are ingenious and challenging.
