Description:
With the evocative piece "Totentanz op. 12/2", a masterly musical monument of timeless fascination was created. The gripping juxtaposition of spoken dialogue, mixed choir (SATB), and the plaintive, virtuosic lines of the transverse flute gives this composition its unmistakable, mystical atmosphere.
This edition from the renowned Bärenreiter Verlag contains the separate single part for flute. The flute plays a central, deeply symbolic role in this work: its delicate yet dramatic commentary weaves the choral movements and spoken sections into a profoundly moving whole.
Complete your performance materials with this practical, clearly laid out flute part and enrich your next concert programme with one of the most compelling works in 20th-century choral literature.
