Description:
This arrangement, featuring Jobim on vocals, was created by Nelson Riddle and featured on the 1965 album The Wonderful World of Antonio Carlos Jobim. This beautiful arrangement features 3 flutes, 3 horns in F, and 2 trombones along with 2 violins, viola, cello, harp, guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Riddle specifies 12 violins and provided exact divisi instructions (which we have included). The melody line is cued in an optional piano part so that this may be alternately played as an instrumental. Included in this publication is an instrumental section that was cut for the recording. The midi sound sample presents the original, uncut arrangement.
