Description:
Aimed at the beginning brass quintet, this piece is playable by ensembles in the first few years of playing. The range is limited and the writing is fairly simple. This has been adapted from a very famous piano piece and the beautiful, flowing melody lends itself well to the brass ensemble. This is a good piece to develop a good sound, blend and balance within the ensemble, and phrasing. All parts are accessible to players with limited experience but the beauty of the original is not sacrificed for ease of playing. This also would work with a more experienced ensemble to provide a much needed break for those long quintet concerts!
