We know very little of this play which is prob-ably based on the classical legend of the untying of the Gordian knot by Alexander the Great. The libretto was never printed. Of the piece it-self, only the eight theatre-music movements have been recorded: Ouverture - Air - Rondeau minuet - Air - Jig - Chaconne - Air - Minuet.
